TDM Group delves into their history to celebrate National Roots Day

National-Roots-Day

In a year driven by innovation, change and togetherness, the 23rd December marks inclusivity and the difference of backgrounds within families across the world. In honour of Roots Day this year, we at TDM Group have delved into our own history to recognise our TDMers, both old and new. This is a chance to celebrate our accomplishments and growth over the last decade as 2020 draws to a close.

Since its formation in 1997, TDM Group has evolved into a managed service provider with a difference – combining technical know-how with a strong business acumen to achieve innovation and success across the entirety of any organisation.

Having co-founded TDM Group over 22 years ago, our Director Tarek Meliti is responsible for setting and implementing the strategic direction of the company, in addition to overseeing its daily global operations. He graduated from the University of Westminster in 1995 with a First-Class degree in Computer Systems Technology – and two years later TDM Group was born. Today, the team has grown with staff members (TDMers) around the world supporting clients in more than 16 countries with main offices in Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.

Fadel Al-Ahmad has been a TDMer for over 21 years, joining the team shortly after graduating from the University of Brunel in London. Born in Syria, he lived in Kuwait and the United Kingdom, before moving to his current home in Jordan. Fadel was introduced to Tarek two months after graduating, who offered him a short-term position upgrading 700 PC’s across three different sites. Jumping forward 20 years, Fadel now holds the position of Head of IT Services at TDM Group. His love for IT, business and client relationships meant TDM Group was the perfect fit for Fadel – dedicating his time over the past two decades to building the IT support department, which has now expanded into supporting clients globally.

Our Finance and Operations Manager, Jennifer Naude, has been with TDM Group for almost nine years. Jennifer is responsible for all administrative operations, including finance and HR. Prior to becoming a TDMer, she worked for a hotel company, followed by a software company. As a proud South African, Jennifer’s background presents quite the geographic contrast from the other members of the TDM team, including both Tarek and Fadel.  A common theme amongst all our staff is the enjoyment they find through interacting with both their colleagues and clients – a quality that TDM Group encourages and nurtures.

At TDM Group, our people are our power, and we pride ourselves on the diverse and inclusive team we have created over the past twenty years. Without the dedication and commitment of our people, paired with their variety of unique experiences and upbringings, TDM Group would not be the company that it has developed into today.
